There are many DVDs that have only been released in a modified aspect ratio, and each year, more are added to that number. We need to let the studios know that widescreen versions of these films are in high demand. The best way to let them know our wishes is to sit down and write a well thought-out letter. One handwritten letter is probably worth several hundred e-mails. For that reason, I have compiled this list of studio and retailer contacts, to assist letter writers in getting their message out. Visit the Studio & Retailer Watchdog to get started. A list of DVDs that have only been released in fullscreen follows. If you would like to add a title to the list, please send an e-mail to joshua.

Scope
This purpose of the OAR Watchdog is to list films that were shown theatrically in widescreen, but only given a fullscreen release on DVD. Films that are framed incorrectly are beyond the scope of this list. This list only includes Reigon 1 DVDs.
- Open Matte and Super35 films are included, because the theatrical aspect ratio is considered the correct ratio, with few exceptions.
- Stanley Kubrick films are not listed. Nor are any other films that are released in 1.33:1 per Director's request.
- Animated films framed at 1.66 are not included. The animators painted the cells in this ratio, but the films were matted in the theaters.
- 1.37:1 films framed at 1.33:1 are not listed.
I would like to thank John Berggren, Scott Weinberg, Ryan FB, Patrick McCart, and Mark Pytel for their help in compiling this list.
